Re: Amp Settings?
Didn't Izzy usually use black face bassman heads with GnR? I know he did quite a bit, as I recall him talking about recording with them in interviews, but I'm not sure what specifcally he used on AFD. It may have been a Marshall? Anyway a BF Fender usually has no mid or presense knobs. The mids seem preset on about 4.

Re: Amp Settings?
On Appetite Izzy used a Mesa/Boogie Mark III into a Carvin cab; I don't know what speakers were in it. On the AFD tour he ditched the Carvin for Mesa metal grill cabs with EVs & Celestion 90s.Originally posted by crusty philtrumAnd that's probably because most people with electric guitars seem more interested in their own performance rather than the effect on the listener ... in fact i don't think many people who own electric guitars even give a poop about the effect on a listener. Which is why many people play electric guitars but very very few of them are actually musicians.
