That bass plays better than alot of regular six string guitars that I've played. The action on it is unbelievable......same as with the red one. Carvin guarantees their action on the basses to be 3/32" and it sure as hell is. They play like butter.

Man, I cant image how easy that would be.. nice... I have my Charvel set pretty low. I like the old pointy headstock like on the red one

Nice score! Those Hamer 12 string basses are iconic rock n roll instruments.
King's X, Cheap Trick, Pearl Jam and a few other bands evidently found engineers who could make these sit right in a mix.

I haven't heard this particular instrument, but would better electronics help with clarity & sitting in the mix? I only ask because the USA Hamer 12s usually have EMGs, a P/J set or 35DCs AFAIK.

Possibly so. I've thought about putting some Blackouts in it, but the wiring in the bass is freakin insane.

It's really hard to record and put in the mix of a song.

It seems to me like the kind of bass that a whole song is revolved around because of all the harmonica envolved. I'd play long sustaining chords over it and let it do the melody.
