Weird string arrangement on the nut - why?

    Basically a worse version of accidentally grabbing your B string when starting a restring on the 1st string,,,,,and then not realizing it until you start coming up to pitch/tension.

      I would bet that the D string broke and isn't long enough to reach the correct tuner so he swapped the A and D.

        That's the only "valid" reason I'm thinking that wouldn't mean the guitar had some super weird problem that means it should be passed up on

            Based on the number of winds around the post, I’m gonna say nope. The D string would reach just fine.
