      I think Scott has the right idea. Get a bassman.

      Line 6 gear definitely has it's place, but it just doesn't feel right to me. The Vetta sounds great, but just feels odd. Same with the podXT. I a/b'ed the pod plexi settings against my H&K tubeman, and the tones were very similar. The difference was the pod sounded like it was running through 50 yards of cable into another room and the tubeman sounded like it was right in front of you.

      Fix the feel and I'll be first in the queue to buy line 6.

        Yes, you're exactly right. And the 700's are made in Japan. They have a thicker neck with a gloss finish. The fretwork is better too. The body of the 500 is flat but contoured like a Strat. The 700's body is like a PRS. I better shut up. My credit card can't take much more....
