Only you can decide what "good" sounds like!

        Schwing!

Its not 'traditional' but humbuckers in a tele are a winning combination. Nice axe!

Great looking axe! I'm also interested in what the bridge pup is.

I'm also interested in the body ..... wood type and finish.
I am so close to retirement that I could play in a band full time. All I have to do is figure out what to use instead of money, improve my playing, learn some songs, and find some other musicians more talented than me who will do exactly as they're told. .

My guess just by looking at those blades is a Bill Lawrence XL500. Beautiful guitar!!

Since he called it a Tele Gibbie, I'm betting it's mahogany body with flame maple cap ala Les Paul

makes sense, but what's with the strange texture on the perimeter?

I think that's because of the white cloth/background thingy's reflection.

                              Thanks guys
                              Yep Mahogany with a mapletop!
And it is a Thinline as well...hollow upper part on the body, just misses an F-hole and it is there...
Nitro laquer on both body and neck.
                              Gotoh bridge, Gotoh locking keys.
Old 1974 DmZ PAF in the neck with a row of hex screws(after installed both pickups)
And an old transistion L-500L in the bridge, made about when Mr Lawrence was about to leave!
So it not with a chrome housing, nor is it one of the later models...just a slightly odd one
It is one resonant mofo, and just as good as the guitar I traded it for...so good deal for both sides
Installed 11-48 and changed the pickups to those on the pictures.
I am rather happy to have a Tele again....
