Speaking of GAS...

I played a Gibson ES 339 (the smaller body one like a 335) at a guitar shop when I was out of town. Holy crap, what a monster! And a damn good price new (though more than I have, unfortunately). These really seem like a bargain, for a high quality semi hollow guitar.

Anyone own one? What do you think?

Man I love those smaller ones. I don't know much about hollow guitars but it doesn't seem like they're good for the kind of stuff I like to play (Satriani covers).

The remind me of the old Ibanez artists of the early 80's, the ones with the weird little gold flowery thing behind the stop tailpiece. WHat was that thing, anyway?
