Yeah the hardware is surprisingly good!
Gonna pimp it some later on!
Think I'll get a 5 holer parchment pickguard....
The microcoils are going in, and some nicer domeknobs( I do not dig the plastic on the innerside)

I put a little 59 in the bridge, it rocks! I set the action perfect!. The clean setting sounds pretty good with my vox, i still might change the neck pup. I have the flamed neck also and every one that I looked at I dont see it, got lucky i guess. The chrome isnt too good you will see it gets dull. great axe though. People were surprised how it rocked! Your tone is great

Got a Gotoh bridge with brass saddles, plus six Gotoh classic tuners, and a Ernie Ball three way switch, and two MIJ A250k pots...
The Micro Coils seems to be bogged up somewhere in customs...vacation times are slow...haha
Did not find a pickguard I liked, we had a traditional black one.....but nah

You know, all of these I've seen had flamed maple neck. Gorgeous guitars with great wee pickups and a very nice tone, for sure!

Yeah....some of those are not as good, but in general they play rather well....I am just very lucky with this one!
Got the Gotoh bridge and tuners mounted today, as well changing the pots, and I flipped the controls as well....I like my volume closer

The quality gap between expensive and inexpensive has really narrowed in the past 10 years. As long as you pick one with decent wood and a good neck, you can upgrade the rest pretty easily.

Ditto! I have a Squier Vintage Modded Tele and that thing never fails to IMPRESS me when I play it and it was just under 3 Benjamins.. I think the body on mine is supposed to be cedar.
