    Re: what kind of guitar?

I'd look into the ESP/LTD Deluxe line with your budget, can't beat those parts and that sound for the price IMO. Ibanez I find lacking on some points, they never felt like home to me. Schecter also seems nice, but I never really looked into them since they're not easilly found in this side of the world.
    Jackson USA '98 Custom Shop KE2 w/ Duncan TB-4 JB(b) & Jazz(n)
    Gibson '87 Flying V Designer w/ Duncan Screamin' Demon (n) & Bill Lawrence L500XL (b)

    VHT Ultralead plugged into a
    Marshall 2x12 Vintage
Bogner Shiva oversized 1x12 cab (Celestion Classic Lead 80 loaded)

(80's Gibson Dirty Finger pick ups (b&n) on the side)

Hamer US guitars are very good and you will not find any lemons with them. I would think a good Custom Studio or if your budget could stretch to one of the Monaco Elite ranges check out the following on e-bay:

thank you all for helping me narrowing down my choice...
I 'm defenitely gonna check out the ESP and the hamer. I checked out the schecter but don't really like the model.

I was browsing this afternoon for possible guitars and I found a jackson slsmg soloist, it has a mahogany body (from what I 've read above these have a warm sound right?).
anyone own one of these or had any experience with them?

Grab a Jackson SL3 and never look back. Stock JB in the bridge, Hot Rails in the mid and neck positions. Fast neck. Good fret work. Floyd Liscensed Trem. SUPER fat tone. What else could you ask for?

I 've no doubt these are good guitars but I 'm looking something without floyd rose bridge ( or it must be something like the SAT system from ibanez), I had a guitar with a floyd before but I can't work with it, if I tried to tune it the bridge would come all the way up
