Ahh...nice choice. 335's just about always seem to sound good, something about that design. I love to see a band with a guy playing a 335; shows he's not following the crowd and odds are he knows how to use it well. If I walk in and see a guy with a Strat, it's 50/50 whether he has any idea how to EQ it. With a 335, I know I'm not in for a night of piercing, thin tones.

I saw a local blues band Saturday night, guitarist with a SSS Strat, playing clean, mostly on the bridge PU...OMG. He started off with a large, enthusiastic crowd, but by the second set, he was clearing people out of the place. There's limits to how much treble the human ear can endure. Apparently he found it.
    "Completely Conceded Glowing Expert."
"And Blueman, I am pretty sure you've pissed off a lot of people."
"Wait, I know! Blueman and Lew can arm wrestle, and the winner gets to decide if 250K pots sound good or not."

The 335 is fun to play and I Love the easy sustain...Maybe I even over play a bit on this guitar because I get around on it easier and faster compared to the strat's longer scale length...Easier to do blues bends for sure with same gauge/brand strings.

Here's my 335 type... a Washburn HB-27. Don't know much about the pickups, except that they're hot with a sweet tone. It surely does sing. At one time, I had an Ibanez Artstar AS-120 that looked better than this one, but the Washburn resonates all over the neck like mad, whereas the Ibby only got that excited at around the 12th fret.
