as far as Fender MIM i'll turn it down, i stripped the paint of the body for a repaint and it was 5 different pieces of wood, might as well been plywood, solid sounding guitar thoughv. now Dean my Zero is a Mustaine artist series i believe was MIK and i dont think artist series count but since its an import i can say its pretty good, nothing was sloppy about that guitar, great tones, i guess it depends on the price range of imports, this was around $500, and from past experience on spending $500 on guitars i usually am not very disappointed, next step up is always USA
