Provided that you're not actually going to use the trem on that guitar, I'd take a set of those Gotohs over the GFS locking tuners or new production Grovers.
Maybe you got a bad batch? I dunno man, many seem to like em so I'm willing to take the risk.

I have a vision. The guitar photographs really well but the body is a bit rough. It was my first material finish attempt and i didn't use enough sealer. It feels nice and looks good regardless.

Gluing in the neck was something i decided to do on the spot after watching a video about gluing in bolt on necks by crimson guitars. I'm excited to carve the heel next.

'89 Kramer E.E. Pro I...body has been rode hard, probably shuffled around in a shop for who knows how long and assembled a time or few but truly a relic at this point - NOS Pickguard and Humbucker Ring in White...neck has some dings as well, though not like the body and frets are in excellent condition. Already have all the parts other than the Control Cavity Cover which is the same shape as the Kramer Sambora Sgnature Model of the same period. Contemplating either leaving it as is and assembling it as a relic or sanding the body and respraying in Nitrocellulose Seafoam Green...

Seafoam green is sick, but I feel that for this guitar the dark black looks really nice. Just my opinion
Such a cool guitar, that's a dimebucker in the bridge, correct?

Simply slapping it together as is most def has an appeal to me at this point. Yes; Dimebucker and two Fender USA A5 Singles; though I threw on a couple SD Covers on the Fenders. Need an R3 Nut, Control Cavity Cover and a Tele Cup Input Jack and it'll be ready for assembly.

I slaughtered 2 toggle switches and a pickguard, I finally said screw it and did it right.

I ordered a proper black acrylic pickguard, soldered the entire wiring harness together which took time and a few burns on my fingers:

However once I mounted it into place, tested it out, it works and looks clean.

This was some nasty clear finish lifting under the tremolo

I pooled superglue underneath it and flat sanded the area. I'm going to refinish this one hopefully this week.

Got some studs in for Duncans project.

That's a pretty nice repair, what superglue did you use?

The brand is STÜK, Nothing special i got it at the discount store.

Super glue works very well for repairs like that. There was a big chip where the book is also and it filled perfectly but unfortunately i didn't get the before pics.

Not bad, looks very well done for the price.

I'm sold on super glue for these types of repairs. Good tip.
