  • Modifying A Weber Mass Attenuator

Is it possible to mod a MASS attenuator from 16 ohms to 8 ohms? Would it simply have to do with adding other parts to change the resistance?

Also, along the same lines, would you be able to use this method to make your own switch to switch from 8 to 16 ohms and vice versa?

    Thanks.:afro:

It is safe to stick a 8ohm cab in a 4ohm outlet, if that answer some of your question.

      Errrm.....not sure if it does....

Is it safe to use an 8 ohm attenuator with a 16 ohm amp? (I'd guess no)

but you could use (i think) a 16 ohm attenuator with a 8 ohm amp.

You could use two 8 ohm in series.
