      This is sure quite a nice looking guitar. I love the circuitry with a volume & tone control for each pick up. I also love the body shape, the curves and arched-top and bevelling on the horns. Black guitars really rock!

          Are the control knobs the same because you had originally gold speed knobs on them which also looked good. I guess the chrome knobs blend in better with the theme of the guitar.

            No, original knobs should be chrome. And my fretboard is darker-looks (but not) like ebony.
            It is one black guitar.

                  USA Hardtail production started in late 2001/early 2002. However, I have never seen a 2001 serial number. I have a 2002 USA, Confused over Coil tap chioce made. 02 10132. That's how all the USA models are numbered.
