It is! Plays like butter, too. I'm going to pull it out and start playing it more.

The only thing about a Floyd that intimidates me is setting the intonation. I suppose that all one has to do is block it while you are doing so. Luckily, I haven't had to mess with the only one that I have.

Yup. That's another thing that I sort of don't want to get into. Setting a VS100's intonation is enough for me.

It's not so bad after you figure out a routine, I just sit down in front of the TV with tools and a tuner. But, I have been playing them since ~1987, so, I have had a bit of practice. The good news is that once you get it set, it's pretty much set as long as you don't make major string gauge changes.

Well it's really just about not over-tightening things, that's basically it.

I had this happen on my Kramer with an OFR. Original saddle blocks too. I've replaced then, and a few other bits too, so the Floyd is in great shape. I haven't tightened the strings down that tight since, and I hardly play it anyway.

I prefer the pink ones to be real tight.

Sometimes, overtightening is the least of your worries.

You need to be more specific, because your photo isn't telling us anything.

You have to be smarter than the guitar.

Look at it a little longer.

I’m not really sure what we’re looking at here either...
The hex bolt looks like it might be a little long but the clamp isn’t installed here so it’s hard to tell...
That or you have a rusty bolt?

The threads are perpendicular to to the mounting face.

They are supposed to be perpendicular to the clamping face.

It's likely that more slipped past QC like this.

Are you sure? How would you machine the base to accept an angled bolt thread?
I’ve got a handful of Floyd guitars and I’m fairly certain the nut assembly looks like what you’ve got in your pic....of course next time I head downstairs I’m going to have to check!!!
