      Well, I think further than that. Winding a string around a peg creates further problems we have to solve. I want a completely new way of attaching strings to a guitar.

        These are great tuners.

        The only knock against them is that they are taller than regular tuners and need string trees to get the proper angle over a strat or tele nut.

        This messes with the primary goal of the locking mech.: tuning stability.

        Heck, the cutting device is worth the cost of admission alone.

          I can testify that the auto-trims are the next best thing invented since sliced bread. I currently have them on one of my Squier guitar projects.
