No idea. Dude was supposed to be a punk rocker. Maybe it's his expression, his "F you!" attitude haha

But yes, made me scratch my head. I mean, not even spray paint?

That's a beautiful burst. Can't wait to see it when it's complete.

It would look really killer with some old nickel hardware.

I will finally get my guitar back on Sunday! So psyched!

The refret will cost me about as much as the "refinish"

Hopefully it will look much nicer on Sunday when nitro is sprayed on and the fretboard get oiled

Just "polished" it with Gibson restorative finish cream

These are just phone cam shots. Will try to take pix on my mirrorless 50mm f1.8 maybe tomorrow

                          What are new:
                          1. Kluson Nashville TOM
                          2. Kluson Aluminum Tailpiece
                          3. Jescar Frets
                          4. Graphtec Nut
                          5. New Top Hat knobs

                          Just a recap:

My luthier was able to "scrape off" the black paint and "preserve" the original finish. He put a light spray of nitrocellulose lacquer on the top.

I used Gibson's restorative finish cream to make it look shiny.

I will do a more thorough "polish" once I change strings.

                          I'm quite happy

That's a unique grain pattern. I like it. I always like to see a natural wood grain even if it's not super figured. It just looks classic.
