  • I think I have decided on the LAST guitar

In all my GAS, all my jonesing, all my actual purchases - some deliberately, some by chance, I feel I may be done.

I've got a list of guitars I'm getting rid of, and I have my eye on one last final axe perhaps.

A member here can even confirm I did in fact contact them with intent to sell...

We'll see what happens. But this year's guitar could be the last.

I can vouch for this startling truth.

I have literally made a list of the guitars that I would like/love would have liked/loved to own. There are only a few on it. And at this point, I just don't care anymore.

For example - I always wanted a killer Les Paul Custom, Wine Red (Just sort of edging towards purple...) all clean and pristine, with Gold Hardware. But honestly, Meh. I'm not going to give Gibson the money, and and I don't want used, and I have 3 killer Les Pauls, and two other Les Pauls.

I think the joy of ownership has gone away. I just want to play...

I thought my R9 would be the last guitar I ever buy. I have since bought (and sold) some guitars.

Do you have a family pic with all your LP's?

My dream guitar is a slightly yellowed white LPC, but I don't think even if got that, I'd want to stop buying guitars.

I have 13 guitars at the time, and a couple of unsed body, I don't count the hardware pieces, bridges, pickups, but, let's face it, it's my hobby, I'm not interested in big fast cars, I have a 15 years old relic that works properly, it's ok, I spend my money in travels and in guitars and stuff

How many guitars did you have peak, Aceman? Your collection has always interested me but I try not to poke around other people's gear or post much about mine so I don't look like a nosey showoff.

No I don't. That is a great example of a 'Yeah, I'd love an off-white LPC". But I can die quite happily without one.

I'm gonna call 40, and maybe a husk/project here or there

                              5 Gibson Les Pauls
                              6 Dean Cadillacs
                              1 Les Paul Copy
                              7 Super Strats, mostly Floyded
                              1 BC Rich
3 Strats (Fender, Squire, Hello Kitty)
                              1 Tele
                              3 Semi Hollows (3 Epi's)
                              4 V's (Jacksons/Deans)
                              4 Basses (1-5, and 3-4's)
                              5 acoustics

Yeah...40 + 1 body of a Les Paul copy. 17 or so of them gig, and almost all have/will depending on the situation.
I should take some nice pics for posterity before I tear it down...
