A hand is pretty tricky. Four digits with three points of flexion each plus one digit with two points of flexion. There are a lot more combinations of position for hands than any other body point. Plus we're less likely to take pictures of hands and put them on the internet (which means less training data for AIs to copy from online - especially when compared to something like a face). That's a tough combo for machine learning.Join me in the fight against muscular atrophy!

Do we have any nose models for allergy or sinus medicine?Join me in the fight against muscular atrophy!

Any human can consistently draw hands if they learn how, any decently advanced AI can draw hands better than most people, but not consistentlyYou will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright

Hands are tough. I've been studying and painting them for over 20 years and they remain a challenge. It's kind of funny that that's the thing AI stumbles over. I think it's a combination of training data, hallucinations, and our own sensitivity to hand positions as a stand-in for body language - very easy to wind up in the uncanny valley with hands. I'm sure they'll crack it at some point though.
I don't know this for a fact, but I wouldn't be surprised if most AI image generators excluded stuff from explicit websites so they weren't constantly churning out weird porn in response to even the most anodyne request.Take it to the limit
