How do you say '0000' regarding steel wool?

Re: How do you say '0000' regarding steel wool?

"Four ot" covers more than steel wool, but other things like the size of shotgun pellets in the firearms industry.

"Ot" is the verbal expression of the number "zero".

0000 buckshot, is, and always is referred to as "four ot" buckshot, and is so large, that only about 9 of them will fit into a common 12 gauge shotgun shell. 0000 buckshot is far larger than "number four" shot.

A more common distortion of "ot" is verbally saying a particular rifle is chambered for "30-odd-6". There really is nothing "odd" about it! It is a common pronunciation of a cartridge originally adopted by the the US Army in 1906. A "30-odd-6" really stands for the .30 caliber cartridge, adopted by the Army in 1906, and is usually expressed in writing as .30-'06.

You are looking for 4-ot steel wool.
