I think that changing the cab makes a big difference sonically. Get the JCM 800 or 900 cab. Sometimes you can pick em up on E-bay, but the shipping cost can be somewhat prohibitive.
BTW, anyone have any retubing suggestions for my DSL 100 watt head? I play rock and metal and find the distortion a bit too flat sounding, about zero dynamics...if retubing doesn't fix it...hello E-Bay!
