Tried my Uberschall pedal plugged into the return of my Triple Rec's effects loop with the return level set at noon, and wow, it sounded great! So I imagine your plan will work just fine.

Just think of it like you're buying a preamp section from an amp that has a lot of range.

I bought all three as cheap as possible, and it's like a musical tool set. I like the blue and red equally, and sort of ignored the Uber at first, but now I'm growing to like that pedal too. It's because they all do what they claim to do, and have great tweakability.

When you know pickups, preamps, power sections, speakers, etc, it's very easy to get any of them to sound like the real thing.

Lately, I've been using them in front of my BillM modded Fender Excelsior Pro as a practice rig that sounds great at dual 6V6 amp volume.
