Re: Does Zakk Wylde really use the stock Dunlop?

I have an Zakk Wylde OD that I use with my JCM900 and TSL100

And yes, everything Zakk reckons it does is true. That pedal is a monster of a pedal.

I plain don't like it on anything 6L6 based, though. Hate it on the 6505+.

Is the OCD the Classic Overdrive with Wylde mod?

Are you sure you're not referring to the JMP's?

A 2204 head pushed with a pedal is always a winning sound, but I've never gotten a Plexi-type amp to sound that way without mods.

I think he might be referring to a Fulltone OCD.

Oh ok. To the OCD owner, which pedal is a monster of a pedal, the OCD or the ZWOD? I was confused by that...or does ZW play an OCD?

              Sorry, brain fart that day!

I have both, but I was referring to the zakk wylde overdrive itself. I have modified the original post to prevent misunderstandings.

The Fulltone is nice but I keep the Zakk overdrive. I don't have an SD1 to compare it to.

Oh ok...thanks for that! I'm leaning toward the ZW Overdrive.

even with a cranked plexi? my plexi is a JMP re-issue (apparently) with the four inputs, it's the 1959RR. when that's cranked around 4-5 on the high channel it sounds a lot like my 2203 at a lower volume. all without pedals.

I would be really surprised if he used a modded ZW44 and not the signature stock one.
