Ah, you're right, but which is more loathing, Cannibal Corpse or a hipster?

Without a good dirt box, I am worthless as a guitar player.... Just what would I play? . . . the Eagles or something?

It can be done, but where's the fun in that?

Just plugging in a pedal can be too easy

I feel the same way, but then I go out and see people that kick my rear on guitar, and they have them! Makes the unprofessional argument more difficult...

I’m strictly going on the looks dept.

Ideally one should use the same clamps that were used to build the guitar in the first place. For continuity.

I don't use pedals with the gig rack - not necessary, and the all-tube tones are awesome. (I do have one half-rack distortion unit in there but I hardly use it; just for harmonic feedback in specific spots.) I've got digital effects, all MIDI-controlled, but the core sounds are all tube.

I use pedals far the rehearsal rig to approximate a couple of favorite tones from my Triaxis, plus echo & chorus.

And there's a grab 'n go board for jams & such - that one has a couple of foundation pedals as well as the drives & mod pedals 'cause I never know what amp I'll get.
