A new pedal build. I was thrilled when I plugged it in, pressed the button for the first time, and everything just worked. That's a first for me.

I have to admit to not understanding fuzz pedals for a long time. I may just not have tried the right one. This is a build of the AionFX Osiris, which is a slightly-modified version of the Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh Fuzz.

It acts like a whole lot of pedals in one. It's an overdrive, a distortion, a full-on fuzzed-out wall of sound, you name it. This one's going to be a lot of fun to play.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

I'm already enjoying it quite a bit. So many tones are in there that I haven't ever gotten to play with. I hope to get a chance to put my P-90 loaded PRS SE through it soon for an old-school Sabbath session.

I had decided long ago that I wasn't a fuzz guy after I had a Big Muff Pi XO with Tone Wicker (I think I got all the naming stuff in there?) and simply could NOT dial in a tone I liked. I returned it to whichever etailer I bought it from several years ago.

This pedal is a knockoff of that circuit, but it's so much more versatile. To me, a Big Muff sounds like a Big Muff sounds like a Big Muff.

This thread reminds me that I need to clean out the fridge.

Oh yeah, nice work on the pedal! Sounds like a useful tone tool.

I think that describes every Big Muff ever, doesn't it?

Unfortunately, I just don't have a whole lot of experience with different fuzzes to say, "Oh, it's like pedal X!" or, "It's like a Fuzz Face with more y and less z." But it works with my signal chain and sounds good and is fun to play with. I can't think of a lot more requirements for wanting to keep a pedal.

For what it's worth, I like the looks of it too, and I think the yellow LED is cool.

This reminds me I used to want a Pharaoh Fuzz and I forgot about it.

But I here I miss the gorgeous look of the original Pharaoh Fuzz (the golden one).
