        LOVE the pickguard.

        I'd hit up Zhangbucker - he posted earlier in this thread - for some great singles. He is able to do some masterful things with slightly hotter than vintage winds. I got a 9k bridge that puts the ssl 5 to shame.

          And I will def check with him! I'll be finishing this project next year due to funding, I don't wanna go cheap and finish it right now and regret it later.

            Another set I would recommend is the Bartolini SuperStrat set... I've got a set I'm reserving for the right body, and I love 'em.

              I've never heard of those--just looked them up. Are those active or passive?

                  Passive. You can get all of them in either polarity, so you can do the middle flipped for humbucking.

                      proaudioland.com carries 'em, but they're labelled incorrectly - for instance, a 3XQ-N is North polarity, not Neck. Bartolini suggests putting that one in the middle.
