So I have a build in progress where I'll be using a Gravity Storm bridge and a Fred in the neck.
It's a Maple body Floyd build (core wood), just for that info.
So I don't expect a mud problem, tho you never know until you plug the thing in.
I know Fred has unbalanced coils.
I had this Fred in the bridge of a hardtail HSS build a few years ago, so I know it's general character (at least in the bridge)
It was a reasonably bright pickup in that build.
I read here somewhere about flipping unbalanced coil pickups around for different tastes.
I don't know on Fred which coil is hotter or cooler, tho I could ohm them out, I would prefer to just ask.
If I can save myself the trouble by just asking, so much the better.
Should I be flipping the Fred around so the cable exits the upper horn side to get the brightest tone, since it is going to be a neck pkp?
Thanks.
