That is a great set! Come back after you install them!Administrator of the SDUGF

It was designed to drop right in, with no change in the pots or cap. But experiment!
I don't know if the QP is a good pickup for twang, as it has more mids and a lot more output than what we normally think of as vintage Tele pickups. It does its own thing.Administrator of the SDUGF

Wiring done.
250K volume with a push-pull to invert the neck, 500k no-load tone. Don't know why but I seem to prefer a 250K volume to a 500K. A Fender 4-way switch gives me the normal three positions plus both pickups in series, so with the neck phase invert as well I get:
Bridge
Bridge plus neck parallel
Bridge plus inverted neck parallel
Neck
Bridge plus neck series
Bridge plus inverted neck series
The ash body (a $50 "second" off eBay) has been sanded, tung oiled and come up beautifully. Really pleased. I'm waiting for the tung oil to fully harden before clear coating it Monday or Tuesday. A fantastic neck arrived from Howell Guitars up in Michigan. Maple with a rosewood top, satin back (super-smooth) and superb medium-medium frets with no fret sprouts at all.
