JB/59 Hybrid anyone ?

A JB hybrid won't really be clear since the JB is quite murky and then the coil mismatch increases the mid nether even more. However ime, adding a vintage coil brings down the compression so it does kind of 'clear up' in that way. A short way of explaining it is it sounds like a mix of the 2 coils, like any other hybrid.

That seems like a long-winded way to say that the JB/59 would probably do exactly what the OP wants, LOL!

Yes, it will sound like a JB lite. Main benefit to hybriding a JB imo.
