I didn't say they were dry, I said clean.

I just realized guitar tones are a lot like laundry. When you put your clothes in the machine, they are dirty (Angus Young), maybe dirty and funky (John Frusciante). You turn on the machine, and they are still dirty but now wet (EVH); after a while, they are wet and clean (Andy Summers), and eventually, your clothes are wet and dry (Joe Pass).

I've had a Jazz set in my SG for 3-4 years. This is where I landed after trying Pearly set, Black Winter set, 59 set, JB / Jazz, Pearly bridge + Jazz neck, 78 model + Seth neck, 59/C + Jazz neck and several others. Jazz set hit all the marks. Not changing anytime soon.
