Re: Live Wire heavy metal Humbuckers
Rock on, Charvel!
Your problem could be one of a few things... first of all, did you ever push your amp too hard? If it's anything under 50 watts, you might've blown the speaker so it would be distorted. Second, I've never tried them, but I heard that because LiveWire heavy metals are meant for hard distortion, and their cleans are non-existant. Have you extracted cleans from that guitar before?• EBMM JPX BFR (Crunch Lab/Liquifire)
• Schecter C-1 Classic (Custom8/Jazz)
• Mayones Duvell 7 Standard (Instrumental SFTY-3/Decomp)
• G&L Tribute Comanche
• Godin Stadium 59 (Custom Cajun/'59)
• Horizon Precision Drive --> Fulltone FB3/FD 2 --> Crybaby From Hell (Fasel) --> Boss BF-2 --> CH-1 --> TC Flashback X4
• Mesa/Boogie Mark IV-B (SED =C= 6L6) + EarCandy BuzzBomb 2x12 (V30/C90)

Re: Live Wire heavy metal Humbuckers
they wont ever get a clean sound, and they distort any amp they are plugged into and not in a good way.Administrator of the SDUGF

Re: Live Wire heavy metal Humbuckers
I forget the exact value, but I believe you can use a resistor inline to lower the output of those pickups. You might have to call the SD factory for a couple of options.
The HMLW pickups have huge output, plain and simple.www.soundclick.com/failedgrace
