How's the Ram's head muff for Gilmour style lead stuff? I've got a Frantone The Sweet and am looking for something that's a little less aggressive gain-wise, maybe with a touch more mid-range.

I'm not sure its exactly what you're looking for, but it might be able to get you in that ballpark. I'm not sure how the EQ on the The Sweet is, but I know it uses harsher sounding diodes than this one. If I remember correctly Gilmour did use a ram's head, but in combination with other pedals to get his mids back, as it does have the lack of mids like most big muffs. If you're looking to combine it with other pedals like he did to get those mids back, it could get you there I think. If you're looking for a one pedal solution to that equation, I think you'd probably be looking for something like a Skreddy P19.

Can you elaborate on the characteristics of the red fuzz/distortion?

Is the Fred regular or F-spaced? Looks regular, but thought I'd check...

            Thanks!

Yep, the fred is regular spaced.

As for the pedal, I whipped up a quick and dirty demo of it, I don't have any good way to record, but I did the best I could with what I have. This is into a 5c1 fender champ clone run into a 2x12 of V30s.
