Re: Sound Recording problem with XP

Thats an extremely old version of the control panel i think, the panel doesnt even look like that anymore.. unless your showing me the panel for the delta 1010 LT version?
You could be right They are screen shots I found while looking for ways to clarify your problem.

Q.? You have a Sound card for general monitoring of sound?

Or do you monitor directly from the M-Audio card?

If so, you would need to change these settings to The "sound card" drivers, unless you route your windows sounds through the Delta 1010.

If you do have a "sound card" and you enable it's drivers/output, you will need to route the 1010 through it,unless you have a separate monitoring system for it.Presumably if you can record in Pro tools etc,it has something to do with your input routing.

Have WMP etc. got "Settings" for what sound device to use ?

I'm still trying to grasp your setup.

There's many ways to setup Interface cards and sound cards.

I use an Aardvark 1010 and a creative Audigy Zs Platinum and a Beringer 16 ch.mixer.All three can route to each other, with the exception of the Audigy outputs to the Beringer .
