So I've been using the AxeFX live for several months now - I will never go back to a "real" amp again. Anyway, I was tweaking some patches today and threw this together to hear the mix effects of heavily gating the guitar - I'll finish it when I have time but it's a start...

No, it's beautiful through a live mix but there has been a lot of tweaking to get it to that point - the possibilities are endless which makes you want to spend a lot of time screwin with it. The real hurdle for me was getting getting the Ground Control and exp pedals set up to do what I needed. I haven't run it direct live yet using the cab sims (I only use those for recording right now) so on stage I run it through a stereo tube power amp and into a JCM900 cab.

Yeah - it's meant listening to a lot stuff no one my age listens to LOL. I think I'm finally starting to break the 80's mold - thank god.
I think the thing that helped me the most was getting the AxeFX - that really opened up all the doors to the modern world for me.

Great Arrangement!I am so close to retirement that I could play in a band full time. All I have to do is figure out what to use instead of money, improve my playing, learn some songs, and find some other musicians more talented than me who will do exactly as they're told. .
