I rarely improvise, my mind's not fast enough for that yet, lol. If I do, I play rather simple things. I prefer to plan the structure of my playing and build a longer section around licks. I never improvise during short solos.

I'd played the piano and only listened to classical music for ten years before picking up the guitar, maybe that's where this attitude comes from. And yeah, I need more practice, too.
