I actually like it. It's good for what it is good for, which is by far not most things. But it does what it does well.

So many ways to do it... Tube Screamer (cheapest one will do SD1, or any OD for that matter pretty much. An EQ also for precision work. Sometimes a pickup...go ceramic without a big bass boos i.e. Distortion, not an Invader. Are you using a dirty amp I assume? Sometimes it's the wrong amp...

I prefer the A8. I'd say it fixes more of what people don't like about the JB. But it also is not a JB anymore... I guess an A2 is a "different" kind of JB maybe? What about an RTM vs a stock JB?

Demon FX Mini CHorus or Mosky Flame both do actual blend/mix, not level. But I get why chorus pedals don't. Pretty soon, it isn't chorus.
