The S1 switch is a 4PDT switch with 12 connection points. To do a split, you only need a SPST switch. So, on the S1, you'd only use two of the 12 terminals. I'll try to find my diagram if you decide to mess with it.

Yes, it's possible. It would just require a little time and work. It would be easier if Charvel would publish a diagram. But not a bid deal. Pos #2 and #4 won't be humbucking unless you do a mag-flip / reverse-wire, on the neck pup. Still not a big deal, but takes a little work and skill.

Nope. This is a common misconception. Rotating a pup has nothing to do with phase. Almost all neck pups are "rotated" relative to bridge pups. The signal polarity is a function of the string going close and away from the pup. Not sideways in front of it.

It can. Red/white wire short to green for one coil. R/W short to black for the other coil. I believe short to green gives you the stud (Custom) coil.

The 81TW is an unusual design. When "split", it is still a dual-coil pup, with the same DCR. So, sort of a quasi-single-coil mode. Flipping it to suit how you like it to sound doesn't seem like a problem, as long as you don't mind the logo upside down.
