    APS-1/APS-1/Hades Gates

I do sometimes think that folks take the 250k/singles, 500k/hb'ers thing too literally. Experimentation is the key to what you like best. If you don't like it, a pot change, or switch, isn't all that difficult.

Fun wiring ideas to do with push/pull pots?

I've been wanting to try that GreaseBucket circuit. Somewhere, in another forum, is someone who modified it to work and sound even better than Fender's take on it.

    Pot liberator with HSH strato

Thanks Dave. That's actually why I bought mine. So I could meter it out, and hold it in my hand when someone asks a question about it.

Fun wiring ideas to do with push/pull pots?

Fun, you say? Here's something I never see anyone do. It's common to switch a 500k resistor in parallel, with a 500k pot, to make it effectively 250k. But I never see anyone do the opposite. Switch a 250k resistor in series with a 250k pot to make it a 500k pot that you can only turn down...

    Pot liberator with HSH strato

One of the things to understand about the Liberator is that it's simply two items connected together. A pot, (either 250k or 500k), and a terminal strip with wires. Both are independent of each other. Refer to the diagram I post. All the red arrows, (pad labeled "In"), are the input to the pot...

    Ibanez Dyna-MIX10 switching w/ a Multi-pole 5-way & DPDT mini toggle???

Yes. Make sure it's an On-On. They come in 0n-on, on-off-on, and on-on-on.

    Ibanez Dyna-MIX10 switching w/ a Multi-pole 5-way & DPDT mini toggle???

6 pins makes it DPDT. (2 SPDT switches, side by side.)

    Splitting stacked singles

I haven't split mine yet, but my understanding is . . . the Stack Plus's go from 98% true single-coil tone, to 100% true single-coil tone. It's something you'd do in the "notch" positions to remain noiseless. I think.

    Technical question(s) about pot values

Yur welcome. This tab prevents you from overheating the pot wiper internals.

Then again . . . it's Saturday, watching football, with my favorite libation. Your communication is probably ok.

    Technical question(s) about pot values

The ground can go anywhere. I mean, any ground. The case of the push-pull tends to be a convenient soldering point.

    Splitting stacked singles

Yes. I see what you mean. It's all or nothing. But to split them individually, you'd need two SPST switches, and the 5-way. SPDT or DPDT would work. You just be wasting part of the switch.

    Splitting stacked singles

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here. I'm assuming a standard 5-way switch. So, if you flip the toggle, you'd have the normal 5 positions, but each pup would be split when it was selected. You'd just be using a toggle rather than that diagrams push-pull.

    Basswood as a Stratwood

My Ibby Jetking is Basswood with thick "Blonde" paint. I'd describe it as warm-ish. It's got Duncans in it, but it's been so long since I picked it up, I can't remember which.
