I really want a modeler of this type. Iove my my Boss GT-001. I've heard really good things about the Helix though. I suppose the Fractal AX8 is an option too but but it's a bit more expensive. I play 90% metal rhythm / riffing (think Ola Englund or Fluff) and this will be for home...

I bought a used jb. With red & white taped off, and green and ground taped off I get no DCR when measuring black and ground. When I measure ground and red + white I get~4k Do I have a dead coil? I've pulled it apart and the connections on the coil end look OK I guess. I'm starting to wonder...

Hey all - I swapped the regular ceramic magnet out of a duncan designed hb103b with a thick ceramic. How close is this getting me to an sh6b? I also swapped the ceramic out of the neck with an alnico V. No idea what the neck pup is supposed to be a copy of... I was assuming a 59 or jazz...

Came across them last night. I couldn't resist. Maybe I'll like them. I've never seen them with black covers.

I saw a epiphone G400 on facebook w/ hardcase for $100, so I couldn't resist. It's not bad! The guitar feels solid, has a couple of dings in it. Neck is straight, no fret buzz, super low action. I think the Pickups are stock. They sound a lot like the 498T & 490R. I'm not sure of the age...
