Ok, I have a 4 x 12 cab that I need a head for. I love the sounds of Fender cleans esp. the Hot Rod series.(I don't think they make Hot Rod heads though). I kinda wanna go with the Fender's but I don't know which head will get me close to the HRD sound. Help!

I have a PRS copy made by Hamer and I'm looking for Santana's recent tone. I know he uses a PRS, which probably has PRS pickups but I want to put Duncans in the Hamer to get as close as I can to that sound. Which pups will get me there?

How do you get this sound? On the factory patches, there's a few patches that sound like you're using an octave pedal. The thing is, I can't get this sound by itself, there's a list of effects, like harmonist, defretter, uni-vibe, etc. but no ocatve effect, yet the sound is definitly in there...

Am I just a fool or is a bass amp supposed to hum when you plug it in and get louder as you turn up the volume. I bought a Peavey TNT 130 off ebay and I can't stand this hum noise. Even when I'm not plugged in it hums. I called Guitar Center and asked about it but they were closing so the guy...

I need a bass amp that's pretty loud for practice, but is a combo amp and something prefereably under 500 bucks. I need it to have some bottom, and I know I'm only talking under 500 bucks so I don't expect the world, just something that can hold it down, for funk, r & b styles.

What if I did this. Could I get a good sound? I have a mexi strat with Duncans and I absolutely love my sound way better than a lot of American Strats.

I need one for practice. I'm a guitar player but it's impossible to find a good bass player for funk/rock/blues around here. So, I'm gonna sacrifice for the band. I can play bass (and I have one) so I need a good practice amp for under $500.

I inherited one of these and I want to retube it to give it a killer sound. I play hard rock/funk and blues but not metal. What tubes should I put in? I want to just replace the tubes (no re-biasing or anything).

I need to know how to tell which tube is microphonic. Is there a trick to finding out? All I know is when I turn on my amp, after a few seconds I hear a beeeeeeeeeeep. How can I fix this?
