Mine was 2008. Unique aesthetic, nice weight, good sound from HB - P90 set, albeit not fairly good selection of mahogany. I'd say BFG is when imperfection is good enough.

Construction wise, soft wood like basswood is not my choice for trem equipped guitar. Sound wise, well there are more variables than just a body wood.

You'll have DS-1, Rat, Metal Zone, Muff with mid control.

I admit PRS is a well-built guitar from some of the best materials on the planet. For that reason, it's the guitar I won't hesitate to buy unseen/online. But most of them I've seen are too gaudy. And the pickups are lackluster. I've tried bunch of them but never found the one that speaks to me...

Re: Offset-ish Tele Shape? Toronado body with Tele layout will do it for me. Something like this, with better pickguard shape. If only Fender released it instead of Offset Telecaster with Jazzmaster body.

I have Phat Cat neck and APTR-1 in my drawer. What should I expect of Phat Cat neck in the bridge with 250k pots? Anyone has tried it? I'm thinking to make a tele project, pairing it with APTR-1 in the neck.

Anyone knows what guitar it is?

Re: Why no talk of Mini-HB neck (regardless of HB bridge)? I particularly like Firebird mini. It's SM-1n. It's loud and can compete with SP90-2n in the bridge which sounds fabulous too, a well-matched pair in this mahog hybrid guitar.
