Telecaster bridge to go with a p90

Hey there all,

I am gonna be making my first tele out of piece of cherry and I am planning on using a p90 in the neck and I am looking for a bridge to match with it, I use the middle position a lot. My main guitar right now is another tele with a Dimarzio Pre B-1 in the bridge which I like a lot but I would like a distinctly different flavor for this guitar. Not a huge fan of humbuckers, especially single coil sized ones. Any suggestions?

My experience is to go step by step. First i would look into P90ies and find the one who sounds best on its own in the neck. Then i would for a bridge pickup to match, if needed.

I have a wilkinson p90 I have that has been sitting around that I am going to try out. It'll be my first time having a p90 in one of my guitars so I am going to give it a try and swap it for something else if need be. My main priority is that the middle position sounds good which I guess is both an issue of both volume and tone.

I thought of Pre B-1 when I read the title, then I found out you have it. My favorite configuration is a Tele bridge and P-90 neck, so if I'm looking for a bridge pickup, I need it to pair well with a P-90. I currently have Pre B-1 and JD. QP and Hot for Tele handle P-90, but their tone isn't to my liking. I'd say stick with Pre B-1 or consider Area Hot T.

my absolute favorite tele bridge pup is the custom shop tapped '53. a2 rods, 6.5 tap for vintage tele tones, and 9.5k for fat overwound snarling tele tones. its the same pup we used in the tele we build and gifted to seymour forever ago
