I got a new amp today.

Re: I got a new amp today. Thanks but there's another two I think to the left under the output module board. I need to know what they are. That screw in the middle of the chip holds the modules in . Undo that if you can and lift up the module. you could even unplug it too. Chances are they are...

I got a new amp today.

Re: I got a new amp today. Here's the other thread I found. It has a few partial bits of the circuit linked. Posts #25 & #26 - https://music-electronics-forum.com/showthread.php?t=3873 - If you could see what those ceramic resistors are on the circuit board and their part number on the board...

    Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue

Re: Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue The red lines are the relay connects to the switch plug. With no switch plugged in they connect directly to R37 which then grounds them from the other side. I'm figuring when you turn the amp on [ no switch plugged in ] the relays should activate...

What's the point in big 100 watt heads?

Re: What's the point in big 100 watt heads? It could be a bit out of date. Maybe John will chime in with a current shot.

    Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue

Re: Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue I revised this. I'm not sure when you tested the relays that you got the jist of what I meant. The green arrow I've put in point to the place to try momentary grounding with a test lead. In other words ground the lead at one end and tap the other...

    Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue

Re: Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue I think you may have this wrong. I think you've got the long red wire anchored at the wrong point. Is there another cut in the track where I've put the blue next to the arrow. Must be some where or it would make no sense adding that jumper wire there.

    Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue

Re: Peavey Windsor Effects Loop/Boost Issue With the 24v and 12v feeds and what they feed, no difference on or off. This is the signal path [ red high light ] . If there's still nothing, I'd say nothing is getting through that transistor and it needs replacing. here's a link to a cross...

DIY amp build: Done with the headshell ..now comes the tough part :p

Re: DIY amp build: Done with the headshell ..now comes the tough part :p No, just a pair of tweezers and a fine tip on your soldering iron. Probably nothing above 25 Watts or you might fry the Smd bits. [You could probably solder on a couple of conventional 47 Ohm 1/4 watt resistors and see...

DIY amp build: Done with the headshell ..now comes the tough part :p

Re: DIY amp build: Done with the headshell ..now comes the tough part :p The Brown component next to the blue arrow is the fuse. It says on the board what rating it is There's only a couple of large SM resistors on the underside but apart from them , no other SM bits..

    Studiomaster Valve Leadmaster violated!!

Re: Studiomaster Valve Leadmaster violated!! In standby there shouldn't be any HT at any of the valves and the fan is not active. There should only be heater feeds and the Bias being active. [ If you've had it on and then go into standby, all those caps on the HT feeds will be retaining...

    NGD Reissue Framus Hollywood

This arrived today . It's a reissue Framus Hollywood. My first Electric guitar was one of these. Framus reissued these about five years ago or so. I couldn't afford one then so I passed on getting one. I was chatting with Crusty who was telling me about a reissue Hofner Galaxy he'd bought...

    Fender Prosonic Issues

Re: Fender Prosonic Issues That's not all original. It's obviously been worked on. It's also had a bit of a hack job done on it. It certainly needs a clean up. Here's what an untouched board looks like.[ with the exception of the resistor in the bottom right corner ]
