What Humbucker and single-coils for me?

i prefer flat poles 90% of the time. if you have a 7.25" radius and/or use a wound g string, then id go staggered. though the difference isnt huge and if i had a ssl5 sitting around, id still use it on a 20" radius

What Humbucker and single-coils for me?

ssl5 and ssl6 are the same pup basically, the 5 has staggered pole pieces, the 6 has flat

What Humbucker and single-coils for me?

if you are using 500k pots i think the stks6 is a fine choice, with 250k pots i might find them a bit dark, but it might work for you. i like the ssl6 with humbuckers (with 500k pots) and this is the stack version which is very similar

What's the most strat like humbucker for a Les Paul?

firebird pups are fantastic if you want bright and punchy. mini humbuckers are a little thicker with a softer attack in my experience, but also nice

OOOO steel wool and fret wear

i have a few raw maple necks, two with rw boards, one with ebony. the rw necks are thick, 1" all the way basically. the ebony isnt quite as stable but its much thinner. they do get dirty quickly for sure

    What are your performance rigs?

actually, it was to play music :D but the female attention wasnt a bad thing. i had a pair of snakeskin boots that looked awesome, but killed my feet. they were given away and i got some that are actually comfortable to wear. they dont look quite as fancy, but they are still pretty sweet

    Humbucker for HSS strat

i like the sd with 500k, not so much with 250k. its still a brute of a pup, but in a great way to my ears
