    Wat amp. Joan Jett.

We all know it. "I Love Rock and Roll". That utterly blown-out, ripped up tone for the main rhythm. Wat is it? She played Musicman amps I thought, but what else is going on with it?

    The wait begins.

Re: The wait begins. I want to talk to him and see if he'd build me a stereo Falcon. quad of kt88s, fendery/Sunn higain and....I wonder if he could do ultralinear? Then I'd put it in a 2x2x12 cab like a big Watkins Dominator and use it as a stereo or amp. I'm building that cab anyway. :| gonna...

Incoming New Pickup Day (Fishman Fluence)

Re: Incoming New Pickup Day (Fishman Fluence) So I guess I'm the only one who'd be happy with these because they look really good? I'm absolutely sure they sound great...and it's been proven with vids and reviews, and they apparently are an incredibly agile and lightweight (signalwise) pickup...

    Rate the new Marshalls please!

I have largely ignored one of the biggest amp makers in the universe out of sheer spite for too long. I'd like for Marshall aficionados to rate the more recent low to medium Marshall tube offerings from, say the JCM800 up. The market is always lousy with AVTs, TSs....Haze... I dunno what I'm...

signature guitars = poser or no??

Re: signature guitars = poser or no?? +1 on both, as well as saying exactly what I would say too. I haven't heard any music from Grace Potter but that V is really classy. The Nancy Wilson Nighthawk is pretty nice too.

signature guitars = poser or no??

Re: signature guitars = poser or no?? Same with the Mushok baritones. There's nothing on them but clean looking guitar stuff.

Uncle Doug on speakers and how they work.

I just recently found this guy and, although I haven't had the time to go through all his shows, have found the ones I've seen very informative. Here's his latest AFAIK.

Alright, Enough of "The Guess What It Is" Threads

Re: Alright, Enough of "The Guess What It Is" Threads nothing wrong with a little high-fiving and back-patting in a forum of gear junkies. Like the sage said:

    Can Anyone I.D. My Bass?

Re: Can Anyone I.D. My Bass? Check it; This is the Yamaha RBX170. Your bass looks STRIKINGLY similar, with the only difference really being the electronic knob layout. when you're buying a lower-end guitar or bass from a big company, you're not really buying a...

vertical 2x12 or ported 1x12 or...

I'mma gonna get an amp sooner or later, and when I do that I'm gonna have to have a cab to go with it. I would prefer a stereo setup, so I'm thinking about making a pair of cabs. So, the obvious idea to maintain projection and oomph would be a slant vertical 2x12 like a Mesa, times 2. There's...

My ability to let things go has improved...

I've just recently changed my mind on the White Stag of my amp-hunting recently in favor of an easier and probably better prey; The AD120VT from Vox has been a standout in digital amplification for a long time and has the feature I covet the most which would be full stereo speaker out, as well...
