  • i'm hearing you on the BIOS/firmware/application conflicts, i doubt it's something i'd enjoy. are soundcards like that still disproportionately expensive?
    enjoy that drive; score.

where are you getting the rubber piece from, have you had to track one down and order one in? hehe, go through a few clutches wazz?

yeah looking at sharing a place with a friend of mine for a while, hoping to save some cash. have had some space issues, which has had all the mods on hold for a while now, and is sh1tting me bad...
and not as many as i'd like; but it's all quality.
    : private:
    cheers!
hehe nah, working late shift this weekend so am not long home, just taking the opportunity to have a look around as i've been offline at home for a while and haven't been able to check out clips. looking for a new place so i can set up a little workshop and get back to doing the lord's work.

    John owns a studio

and he plays all styles of guitar like you would not believe (lap steel etc.) and learned his chops at Berklee. He produced the ABC album of the week recently there so we just go in there and record during downtime. Its fun. We never know whats going to happen, we just get a chart and have a crack! Hopefully by next year it will be pretty slick tho!
Thanks for taking the time to listen to it. I appreciate feedback from knowledgable guys like yourself.
    Cheers!
Re sounds: yes im the fat one. I played clarinet when i was a kid and loved benny goodman before i discovered rock and girls! Used to listen to late night jazz on ABC as a kid in the 70s on my radio before my brother introduced me to american top 40 in 1980. Im 40 now. I still crave that warmth and sustain you can get from a wind instrument. John is playing a hand carved 7 string archtop called a gilchrist (aussie maker).
Re: studio....studio 52 in Johnson St. Collingwood. i left the music game in 1996 and took nearly 10 years out, but while i did i learned the classical and got my associate level so now im back full time teaching and doing a couple of gigs a week. This jazz project is our first effort only one or two takes....hence the mistakes! Its only a demo, so John and i are planning to knock together a few songs every few months before recording an album maybe this time nest year.
Yes from Nunawading at the moment (was Ringwood for 30 years before that). I've never lived anywhere else.
    I
    no pics, just vids.
I posted a video of that guitar in the thread Show off your axes.
Eh ? I'm quite proud that you recognised my grumpy qualities, i'm not upset about it : it tells me that all these years of hard training are starting to pay of ..... hehehe
just thought i'd drop by for some mindless vandalism and to wish you 'maximum damage containment' for the forthcoming 360+ days. well, for as long or short as you want it really.

    i'll shut up now and go over there . . . . . . . . . . .
