Well I ran them with my Hiwatt, just to see what they could do...not impressive.
But not horrible either, but they have their own distinctive voice.

I really like them a lot...supposedly just like the Celestion Cl80s....smooth, warm, and round.

One thing: I disagree about the V-30 having more bass than the G12H-30. I think the G12H-30 has more bass than Vintage 30. But I sort of agree on the "hollow" description of the V-30, because I do hear the V-30 as having less mids and less texture to the mids than the G12H-30. Those differences between the two are what make them compliment each other so beautifully when you combine one of each in a two 12 cab. Lew

I Was Originally Going To Get A Couple Og G12t75 Speakers But Could Not Find Any On Ebay For 8 Ohms. I Guess Most Cabs Like Marshall Are 16 Ohm. I Ended Up Going With 2 G12k100 Speakers And Mix Them With 2 V30s. I Always Wondered If I Would Be Better Off Trying That Combo First Before Selling The V30s.

I LIKE THE BLACK SHADOWS AND ESPECIALLY THE HIGHS AND MIDS BUT IT DI NOT HAVE THE LOWS OF THE G12K1OO SPEAKERS AND I TRIED THEM WITH THE G12K100 ONLY AND IT WAS TOO CLEAN WITH THE 2 SPEAKERS BEING HI WATTS. i AM USING THESE IN A HEAVY BAND THAT PLAYS IN C, B WITH LES PAULS AND 7 STRINGS TUNED TO A. THE CAB IS A MESA OVERSIZED RECTO. THE AMP IS A 2 CHANNEL, VOODOO MODDED DUAL RECTIFIER. HOPE THIS GIVES PEOPLE AN IDEA OF THE SOUND I AM LOOKING FOR.

What Are The Characteristics Of The V-12? Redcoat, Governor? These Are The Ones That Interest Me. What Are The Differences Between Any Of These And The V30s?

Trace from Voodoo amps say to try the Weber v 30 clone (ceramic 12V). Any thoughts on this speaker. Other ones I may be interested in are the RED WHITE & BLUE, GB12, & SWAMP THANG. Thanks
