Ten 12AX7 Sampler Set!

Dig the concept. Real pleased they include Mullard & TAD, along with the general tubes everyone should try EHX, Tungsol, and JJ. Nice they included long plated 803s.

Not a fan of the Groovetube and Ruby which probably ends up being a rebranded JJ.

Don't like the cheap Sovteks, is an LPS so much to ask?!?!? HA.

Really cool sampler set none the less. A good starting block for tube rolling.

Ruby's are similar to Groove Tubes. They have different model numbers which refer to different brands.

Dougs Tubes Ruby

Ruby 7025 "Silver Special", high grade. Shuguang 12AX7B with an uncoated silver anode
Ruby 12AX7ACZ High Grade is a re-labeled JJ ECC83.
Ruby 12AX7AC7 HG+ Same as TAD 7025-S and Preferred Series 7025.
Ruby 12AX7AC5 High Grade tube is the Shuguang 12AX7 9th gen tube
Ruby High grade early 9th generation Shuguang 12AX7B's
Ruby 12AX7AC5 HG High Grade tube is the Shuguang 12AX7 9th gen tube, but distributed by Magic Parts.

Nice, wonder how much those rebranded (TAD, GT and Ruby) tubes would differ with the original chinese. As far as I know you're just paying more for additional selection of low noise, optimal gain tubes.

Thats cool but you'd probably be better off just buying the ones you want to try out.

For 135 dollars you can get a set of 3 NOS 12ax7s...
Much better than those crappy tubes...
