The EH 12AX7 is the same as the Sovtek LPS if I remember correctly.

Same spiral filament, but smaller plates.

Which of the two is warmer? I love the EH in some amps and in others it is a bit too bright.

IMO, the LPS's are a touch warmer...I guess it's the bigger plates?

Count me as another supporter of what GT is doing. I can't wait to get my hands on some of those Mullard reissues, and when the Tung-Sol 5881s in my tweed crap out a pair of GT GE 6L6s are going in. I don't see how anyone can bad mouth something they've never tried.

Hmm I just got rid of the Sovteks I had but I never noticed that. I'll have to look again.
