16 Ohm THD Hot Plate

16 Ohm Hot Plate has 2 speaker outs.

If i run two 16 ohm 4x12's does the amp still see 16 ohms ?

Yup. The hot plate is the load “seen” by the output transformer, not the speakers.

Actually according to the pdf manual above, two 16 ohm cabs would need an 8 ohm Hot Plate.

But in another thread someone said the second 16 ohm cab would cause the amp to see 15 ohms and some change.

If i would be running 2 cabs i prolly wouldn't need the Hot Plate anyway.

I stand completely corrected! Thanks, I’ve been using my 8Ohm hotplate riskily all this time (though thankfully, I have mainly used it with one 8Ohm speaker connected, so within the specs/instructions)
