Sharing a couple of pics of a 1931 Gibson Mandolin & Guitar Company L3 Acoustic Guitar that I got to check out today. 85 years old and most definitely a beautiful guitar from a bygone era. It was my friend who just passed grandfathers guitar passed down to my friends father and then to my friend. 3 Generation's of familial ownership.

That is awesome. Did you play it?

I've played it once before about 5 years ago. It's got the smallest frets I've seen and a flat radius fretboard. Plays nicely though and has a unique sound as you might imagine with the smaller parlor sized body.

My friends widow is attempting to pass it on to his estranged son in NoCal; but, after two weeks he hasn't responded. I expressed that IMHO, if he doesn't take it and she desires to hang onto anything to remember her husband by that this should be the one she keeps.
