1979 Gibson Les Paul Pro

A friend wants to check out this guitar, he is very interested in it and will probably buy it if he likes it.

is it even worth checking out? anyone ever play one?

Cool guitars...almost always a tad heavy and typical Norlin (crappy build quality, etc) in most ways but overall can be cool guits...

The regular LP Deluxe featured mini humbuckers or, sometimes, P90s. The Pro retained the maple neck but gained an ebony fingerboard.

Right...the Pro was done so that the Deluxe could be a bucker guitar and the Pro is the same thing but with P-90's

That said, I don't think the Pro had an ebony board??

Its a Gibson.
Remember that it should not be judged on set up alone.
So stop debating and take it for a test drive.
